The Oddbins Take

Well-coloured with relatively high acidity, this is a vivacious Beaujolais abundant with notes of freshly picked berries and traditional boiled sweets. With an exceptional amount of personality for a Beaujolais Villages, this particular character has a frank, fresh flavour, and a real liveliness on the palate which makes an ideal drinking partner for any occasion! If you're a lighter wine fan and haven't given Beaujolais a try for a while then start here.

This Beaujolais-Villages comes from several villages located in the northern part of the region, a large proportion of the blend deriving from stunning old vines. Since 1888 the Fessy family has been based in the heart of the Brouilly appellation. Over the years, Maison Fessy has purchased choice parcels of vineyards in most of the 10 Crus and the Beaujolais-Villages appellations to create a domain of nearly 70 hectares of prime vineyards. In 2008 Maison Fessy was acquired by the house of Louis Latour.
