The Oddbins Take

They Say

The Bénédictine Master Distiller puts a mixture of plants and spices into four preparations, which are infused in super-fine alcohol and then distilled or double-distilled in unique hammered copper stills, which date back to Alexandre le Grand’s time. The four resulting ‘Esprits’ then age for three months in oak casks, blended together and rested for eight months in a large oak barrel. Honey and an infusion of saffron are added and the final blend is then heated to 55°C, before being aged in large oak barrels for four months.

We Say

Indubitably French, mysterious and compliqué, this has to be… Alter Ego: Vincent Cassel; a magnetic balance between edgy and smooth, passionate and cool, this is one hell of a spirit that is capable of Oscar-worthy turns although, compared to Cassel’s turn as France’s number one fugitive, Jacques Mesrine, this is ‘wanted’ in a much nicer way.
