Open up any book about the red wines of France and before long you'll be sure to see the name of this highly reputed Rhône house mentioned. Based in Northern Rhône they've been in the business for ages and are to be counted only with the greats. This is their Cairanne, which in itself is another great name to be trusted for its big, solid and robust yet classy red style, and that's just what we have here. It’s one of the most reliable Rhone villages and definitely one to explore if you haven’t yet done so.

Established in 1781, Vidal-Fleury is the oldest continuously operating winery in the Rhône. Their Cairanne is aged on its lees to encourage malolactic fermentation, 70% placed in stainless steel, 30% in large oak barrels. The finished wine is allowed to clarify naturally and only undergoes one filtration (without fining) prior to bottling.
