Heidsieck Monopole

Heidsieck & Co Monopole, founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heisieck. Given their lengthy tenure as one of Europe’s most popular Champagne Houses, it’s hardly surprising that they have moved through many directors and with that, multiple names. So, if you’re from the past, your favourite Champagne “Walbaum Goulden & Co, successeurs d’Heidsieck & Co, Maison fondée en 1785,” may now be known as this fine House. Heidsieck & Co Monopole was probably a good choice, we’re not sure “Walbaum Goulden & Co, successeurs d’Heidsieck & Co, Maison fondée en 1785,” would fit on the label. Today, Heidsieck is owned by the Vranken-Pommery Monopole Group (located in Reims), which also owns Pommery, Vranken, Château la Gordonne, Domaine Royal de Jarras, and Rozès. Known for the high proportion of Pinot Noir in their blends, Heidsieck offers a fuller, richer style of Champagne.
