Château Cambon La Pelouse 2005

The Oddbins Take

The Chateau Cambon La Pelouise is a very dark ruby, nice brilliance, purple hints. On the nose it has a lovely bouquet of mixed black berries and vanilla, becoming more dense after aeration. On the palate it i sa pulpy fruity wine that is very well balanced and complex. It is still only a very young wine but it is already highly regarded.
Still very young though it’s already excellent.

88 points, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #219, June 2015: "This reliable property in the southern Médoc has produced a 2005 with loads of sweet black cherry and mocha, some spice and earth as well as a floral note. It is medium to full-bodied, surprisingly concentrated and very well-made. The final blend was 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. Drink it over the next 2-4 years. A sleeper of the vintage. Drink 2015-2019."
