The Oddbins Take

What do manure, solar energy and pheromones have in common? Why, they are all used in the production of wine from Chateau d’Or et de Gueules, of course! This attractive Southern Rhône Chateau makes fantastically fresh and concentrated wines, using nothing but the power of nature. Winemaker Diane de Puymor holds daily communion with the Man in the Moon and sprinkles fairy dust on her vines in order to produce the very best wine she can. Oh OK, maybe not. But she does run a very environmentally friendly set-up.

Owner Diane de Puymor bought the ‘pebbly stretch of old vineyard’ on the doorstep of the Camargue wetlands in the Southern Rhone Valley, in 1998.
