The Oddbins Take

Château d’Or et de Gueules’ takes its name from the gold and red stripes of eco-friendly winemaker Diane de Puymorin’s family coat of arms. “Les Cimels” means “bouquet of flowers” in the local dialect, Occitan. And that’s just the name. We could write a thesis on the time, love and care that have gone into making this unoaked Syrah, Grenache and Carignan blend, but there isn’t room here. Neither is there enough space to describe all the aromas and flavours you’ll find when you open it, we’ll try but don’t get mad if we get cut off: blackcurrant, plum, blueberry, thyme, oregano, lavender, black pepper…
