The Oddbins Take

Hooray, hooray, look what our buyer found! She’s snuffled out a foot-stompingly good value rosé Bordeaux for your delectation. She’s pure goodness, is Ana. We don’t even know if she sleeps. She could just sip, slurp and spit her way through the night. Maybe she was sipping and slurping at 3.30am when she found this crisp yet juicy, red currant and raspberry-flavoured rosé. We’re not sure. Maybe she spent her entire childhood hunting down bargains (we hope not as that would have been illegal).

James Viner in The Kent and Sussex Courier: "Increasing numbers of quality rosés come over the English Channel from Bordeaux and this light to medium-bodied wine is a good example of why they are worth exploring. This 100% Cabernet Franc wine is summer sipping at its best and showcases juicy redcurrants and red fruits. It's a great summery wine, ideal for enjoying around a barbecue grill with friends. Delightful!"

Château Lauduc offer seriously good value Bordeaux and the rosé is no exception. Made with 100% Cabernet Franc and harvested by hand, the vinification is carried out in two stages. Limited "bleeding" of 10% of the volume of the tank is carried out after 24 to 48 hours of fermentation and maceration continues in another tank without the skins, as for white wine.

The wine is a delicate salmon pink in colour, with an intense nose of redcurrants. The palate is round and supple, with a touch of spice. It exudes freshness and has decent, balanced fruit.
