The Oddbins Take

The south of France is, in our opinion, much like Art College for winemakers. Though they probably spend less time watching daytime TV and more time doing actual work in wineries, they have that same experimental spirit and sense of fun.

Likewise, whilst they no doubt dress better and don’t feel the need to wear tie-dye quite so remorselessly, they produce some incredibly good value, fresh, new flavours.

This youthful, smooth and spicy Grenache is a breath of fresh air – with just a hint of smoke and herbs.

L. Metairie is a unique cooperative is headed by Michel Servage, a man who embodies the history of winegrowing in this region. He grows vines himself and is also president of the Celiers du Nouveaux Monde, in Pulcheric.

The technical team includes international talent and everybody revels in the mosaic of huge terroirs in the Languedoc. Along with the 1,200 vineyard owners, Michel made the choice to produce quality-driven wines, using cutting edge facilities.
