The Oddbins Take

This Moscato is soft, gentle and charmingly sweet, but saved from being sickly by fresher, sage and citrus elements, which sounds a bit like Alan Titchmarsh, now we come to think of it. Indeed, much like Alan, it’s maybe not the most dangerous tool in the box, but you could very happily while away an afternoon with it in an English country garden, with it a bowl of strawberries and cream.

Anthony Rose in The Independent 14/12/13: "With a candy floss-like lightness at only 5.5% alcohol, this fragrantly-scented Piedmontese fizz whose grapey lemon sherbety tang dissolves sweetly yet refreshingly on the tongue is the perfect complement to festive sweetmeats."

Vines trained with the Guyot system and grapes harvested at the start of September.

During the vinification system, soft pressure was applied to the whole grapes, to clarify and filtrate before fermentation in an autoclave at a low temperature.

It has a delightful, golden straw colour, made even more appealing by its delicate, light bubbles. It has a fragrant nose, with notes of rose, honey, apple and pineapple, made brighter by a sage-like vegetal note. Light sweetness on the palate is saved from being cloying by the wine’s citrus acidity.
