The Oddbins Take

One definition of a “heartland” is a centre of support for a belief or movement. By cleverly blending softer, juicier grapes from Langhorne Creek with intensely herby and savoury fruit from Limestone Coast, Ben Glaetzer and chums have created something that we wholeheartedly believe in and wine that we hope will become a movement and inspiration to other. Possibly the ultimate Aussie Shiraz, this wine is converting non-believers and gathering followers across the world, so why not join us in the heartland.

Heartland Wines was created in 2001 by a group of leading South Australian wine identities, including winemaker Ben Glaetzer. All Heartland wines are from the directors' own vineyards in the Limestone Coast and Langhorne Creek, South Australia. There are three ranges: Heartland Stickleback, Heartland Coast & Creek and the flagship Directors' Cut Shiraz.
