The Oddbins Take

Look into my eyes, look deep into my eyes. You feel ever so sleepy. You now find yourself in a pleasant French garden with beds of lavender and sweet peas and a tabby cat purring in the warm morning sunlight. Somebody passes you a glass of deliciously earthy, oak-kissed wine, which mingles with the sweet smells of the garden. A bell chimes somewhere and one, two, three you’re back in the room. That, friends, is La Bastide Saint Dominique.

Created in 1976 by Gerard and Marie-Claude Bonnet, La Bastide Saint Dominique is situated in the grounds of a 16th century chapel in Lirac, at the foot of the hills of Châteauneuf du Pape. It is in this picturesque environment that Gerard Bonnet creates his wine, together with his son, today.
