Could this Champagne house be the king of all Champagne? It's a good bet, and you won't get better odds on any other candidate. Roederer certainly have the pedigree and the reputation. After all, it is they who are responsible for making a certain something called Cristal, if you've heard of that one. The one we have here however, is their standard, and what a standard it is too. Dry, delicate with a yeasty depth to it, this is class in a glass!

Established in 1776, Louis Roederer is one of the few remaining family-owned ‘grand marque’ Champagne houses. Its Brut Premier is assembled from individual wines sourced from over forty different vineyards and from several vintages. Up to 10% of these wines are matured in oak casks. A proportion also undergoes malolactic fermentation. Once assembled and bottled it is matured for three years in the cellar and rested for six months after disgorgement.
