Peter Ranscombe in BQ on 02/04/2017 - "Bacchus is one variety that's really come into its own. The 2014 Lyme Bay Bacchus from Devon has plenty of lemon and lime citrusy notes on the nose, along with an elderflower aroma that reminds me of Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, it's off‐dry, with the slight roundness from the residual sugar helping to balance to refreshing acidity."

Founded in 1992, Lyme Bay Winery has long held a strong reputation for producing high quality British drinks. In 2009, we began our English wine project by planting 26,000 vines over three sites in East Devon, consisting of Piniot Noir, Seyval Blanc & Bacchus varieties.

We also source grapes from a select group of well-renowned growers in the South of England because we believe that truly special wines are born from grapes with diverse backgrounds. Our grapes enjoy a temperate maritime climate and a long, warm growing season, affording the grapes exceptional depth & expression of character.
