Coonawarra produces some of the country's finest and most desirable reds and can claim to be one of the country's shining examples of distinctive terroir with tell-tale mint notes on the nose of its Cabernet Sauvignons. Far from a jammy blockbuster this wine combines elegance andvivid fruit flavours with an ageworthy bite.

Tasting Notes : Rich, vivacious nose of berries, chocolate and cedar. Soft and ripe palate with fine tannins and glorious fruit intensity.

Producer : Katnook Estate

Method of Production : Machine harvesting was used to get the fruit to the winery as fresh and unspoiled as possible, after which the bunches were destemmed, crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks for seven days on theskins. The wine was matured for 20 months in French oak barriques, 40% of which were new, and received a gentle, earth filtration before bottling.

Good now, better later!

This wine is extremely drinkable now, but if you have space in your cellar I think it will be even better in a few years time!

Excellent plum flavours in this wine and extremely smooth. Just sorry I had to pay £38 to drink it at a local hotel in Oulton1

Great easy drinking with full whack cabernet flavous and finish, definitely worth the try at this price. Let it warm up and open early for full effect.
