Masi 'Passo Doble'
Product Code: 12455

From Masi Argentinean outpost in the Tupugnato Valley, 'Passo Doble' literally meaning 'double time' refers to the double fermentation of Malbec grapes, with a percentage of lightly dried Corvina grapes, that this wine goes through; an kind of Argentine version of Masi's ripasso method Campofiorin from Verona. The result is a rich and lush wine with spicy dark flavours that are suggestive of an Amarone. Consider this the lighter sibling of the mighty Corbec.

:O
Truly awesome stuff...if for some bizarre reason we don't stock it, try a cheap (but not as cheap as us) bottle from the wine boutique at Gaucho Grill Piccadily on Swallow Street. If you want the old world equivalent, opt for the "Masi campo fiorin" of which we have quite a bit.
