Designed for drinking almost immediately. For the money you'll be hard pressed to find its equal.
Tasting Notes : Yeasty, bready notes on the nose, with creamy zesty fruit on the palate and an intense, balanced finish.
Producer : Pol Roger
Method of Production : The wine is blended from around 30 base wines, in roughly equal quantities of the three Champagne grapes. Reserve wines make up to 30% of the final blend, and the deep, cool cellars where the wine matured are an important factor in the production of its finesse and fine mousse. After degorgement, the wine receives 5 months' bottle age before release.
Food Choice
Ideal on its own or paired with fresh brioche, nuts and seafood dishes.

NV Pol repays a bit of extra cellaring in Spades. Give it 12 months if you can stand the wait, but it'll be WELL worth it! Bit sharp straight off the shelf though, hence 4 stars.

Pol... every time!
For really crisp, dry and elegant fizz, this is really the only one to go for. Good enough for Churchill? Just about right for me.
