This caraway based liqueur is tremendously popular at golf clubs, apparently, due to seed's relaxant properties. Not that the 39% alcohol content has anything to do with it of course. It's pronounced 'Kim-mel', stressing the 'Kim' by the way.

Tasting Notes : Powerful, lifted aromas of aniseed, liquorice and cumin. Sweet but with a clean, crisp finish.

Method of Production : Made to an old Danish recipe that remains a closely guarded secret, what we can tell you is that Kummel Wolfschmidt contains caraway, fennel, cumin and a number of other herbs and spices. These are combined with neutral alcohol and sugar to produce this leading digestif liqueur.

Food Choice

Serve well chilled by itself, with ice or in gin, vodka and rum based cocktails.
