Tasting Notes : Dark rich red in colour, very aromatic and slightly smokey with red berries. The palate shows good depth with rounded fruit balanced by acidityand some oak. The fresh yet fine tannins take over at the finish and flavours of pepper and liquorice dominate.

Producer : Casa Santos Lima

Method of Production : The majority of the harvest was completed mechanically with 30% being hand picked. The grapes were pressed after total destemming took place and then fermentation was done in a mixture of cement and stainless steel tanks. Skin contact maceration was done for 28 days with the cap being pumped overdaily. The wine aged for three to four months in oak barrels.

Best Red I ever drank!

This wine is just great, unlike most reds that have a very strong flavor and leave a dry taste in the mouth, this wine is just smooth and leaves a fresh taste. It drinks so well as it was a light white or a rose plus is super cheap and it leaves many much more expensive wines in the dark. Super Recommended!

Absolutlely GREAT Value

This wine was recommended by the manager of Oddbins Inverness, and for the price, it's a stormer!! A sweet, light oakiness with hints of Raspebrry along with a nice light body make this fantastic to drink among friends. HIGHLY Recommended!!!

opulent berried fruit and clean sustained finish.....

Menthol, plums, cloves and prunes on the nose. Soft mouthfeel with opulent berried fruit and clean sustained finish. Slightly coco-ed effect. Food Match: Game or wild boar , maybe some soft creamy cheese.
