Bruichladdich 1993 Recioto Finish

Tasting Notes : The gorgeous aromas imparted by the Recioto float over the olfactory catwalk - orange blossom, toasted pink marshmallow, strawberry, Tay berry & vanilla ice cream. Then the handsome Islay character moves alongside bringing sweet crispy malt, mellow toasted bourbon oak and a cooling Atlantic freshness. Also to be noted is ripe banana smoothie that is the hallmark of well malted barley. There is not a trace of smoke to be found, only the perfume of perfection created by two artisan producers. Bella, bella!

Method of Production : Made from Optic barley peated at only 3ppm phenolic content, then matured for 13 years in first fill ex-Bourbon barrels. The whisky was then finished for a matter of a few months in Recioto della Valpolicella barrels from Azienda Agricole Musella. The whisky was bottled at 46% and non chill filtered to preserve as much flavour as possible.
