Xerolithia White, Peza

Made from the indigenous Cretan variety Vilana grown in Peza. One of a pair of wines from Creta Olympias, this is as fresh as a daisy, full of concentrated zing.

Tasting Notes : Gently floral aromas mix with green apple, lemon and lime. Full and rich with sherbetty acidity and a long, crisp finish.

Producer : Creta Olympias

Method of Production : Grown on non-irrigated vineyards from selected mountain villages in the Peza area. Despite a harsh hot climate, the vines survive by growing in sites sheltered from the burning winds and draw much needed water from the underlying clay soils. The grapes were hand-picked into small containers to avoid premature crushing, then pressed and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.

This is authentic Cretan white, bringing back all the memories of Crete. Each bottle is consistently good and excellent for Greek-style food, especially barbecued fish. Highly recommended.
