Superb rich style Cava, long a favourite with customers and staff. Segura Viudas is made by Frexinet, one of the biggest names in Spanish sparkling wine.

Tasting Notes : The wine has a lovely, full, rich, nutty style balanced by fresh, clean crispness. The fizz is soft and smooth.

Producer : Segura Viudas

Method of Production : Top quality grapes were night-harvested to keep the temperature of the fruit low to prevent loss of flavour and aroma. The bunches were gently pressed and the juice fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine was blended and bottled with a little yeast and sugar to undergo secondary fermentation in bottle. The wine was left with its yeast lees in bottle for three years before disgorging, imparting a creamy richness.

Food Choice

Serve chilled before a meal, or pair with creamy chicken dishes or roasted pork.

this is an opulent chocolate mousse and bready yeast style that is more champagne in style than some cheaper champagnes I have tried
