Ramey Russian River Chardonnay 2002

David Ramey is widely acknowledged to be among the wine pioneers whose groundbreaking work with indigenous yeasts and malolactic & barrel fermentation yielded California's idiosyncratic style. After nearly two decades of creating these benchmark wines for the likes of Matanzas Creek, Chalk Hill, Dominus and Rudd, David and his wife Carla founded Ramey Wine Cellars in 1996. The winery is located in the quaint Sonoma town of Healdsburg, and is famous for producing top quality Chardonnays using grapes that are sourced from vineyards with which David has worked for many years. Their next step is to purchase land and run their own vineyards.
