Bols Blue Curacao 50cl
Product Code:
Bols Blue Curacao began life as 'liqueur de ciel' or 'heavenly liqueur' on the island of Curacao, one of the Dutch Antilles, in the 19th Century. Bols took the formula and turned the drink into their own. A classic.
Tasting Notes : Brilliant sky-blue in colour with the bitter citrus taste of fresh Curacao oranges.
Producer : Bols
Method of Production : The finer details of all Bols recipes are closely-guarded secrets but Blue Curacao was distilled from the dried peel of bitter Curacao oranges, a small amount of peel from sweet oranges, and the rare Kinnow orange. Selected fruit juices and sugar water were added to bring the liqueur down to its 24% alcoholic strength and produce its distinctive taste and colour. Bols use freshly pressed fruit juice rather than concentrates.
