The quality of this wine has always been astounding. Montana and Deutz have managed to create a balance between fresh fruit flavours and the aromas of traditional Champagne - delicious!

Tasting Notes : Gentle red fruit hints of raspberries from Pinot Noir on the nose. Lively, with citrus fruits and a creamy undertone.

Producer : Montana / Deutz

Method of Production : The grapes were hand-picked early in the harvest to obtain a moderate alcohol level with a high natural acid level. After a gentle pressing, the juice was fermented in tank. The various batches were blended before bottling for refermentation. The wine was tasted at regular intervals whilst lying on yeast lees and was disgorged when rich yeasty flavours and aromas had been obtained.

Food Choice

Ideal on its own, but is great with salmon mousse, seafood and canapes. Try it with fruit salad!

It is definitely a best buy, in blind testing you will not depart it from your basic champagne for 1/2 the price !

A truly stunning wine. In all honesty I have not encountered a more drinkable and enjoyable bubbly, be it Champagne or Methode Champenoise. Oddbins: Any chance you can get your hands on some of their Pinot Noir Cuvée as well? - delicious!
