Clynelish 14 yo
Product Code: 97000
Clynelish was founded in 1817 as an outlet for barley produced by crofters who had been driven out to the coast by the Highland clearances. Part of the Hidden Malts range, it has a classic maritime salty tang.
Tasting Notes : A waxy, faintly floral nose heralds a medium-bodied salty palate with a hint of peat smoke and a dry finish.
Producer : Clynelish
Method of Production : Barley was malted with a medium peat and mashed with water from the Clynemilton burn to produce the wort, which was then distilled twice in pot stills. The whisky matured for 14 years in oak casks.
