Smaller production than many of the prestige Houses, but demand is huge for this delicious, rich and yeasty blend.

Tasting Notes : Packed with mouthfilling yeasty flavours with just a touch of hazelnuts, the finish is clean and zesty.

Producer : Roederer

Method of Production : Most of the fruit used was from Roederer's own vineyards, which average 98% on the Echelle des Crus rating (among the highest of the Champagne houses). The resulting wines are blended with reserve wines from three different vintages, Roederer age their reserve wines in oak, giving great richness. After second fermentation the bottles remain in the cellar with their lees for 3 years gaining yeastiness.

Food Choice

Drink before a meal or with white fish and shellfish dishes.

This is by far the best £30 you can spend on anything (drinkable that is), and would be a bargain at twice the price. Not to easy to get a hold of, but well worth ordering some. Just gorgeous!

Cristal lite

When I can't afford Cristal (most of the time), I happily settle for the "basic" Champagne, as Roederer make quality fizz whatever the weather.

In my opinion the best NV you can get. I am often disappointed with NV champagne but never with this. Better than some vintage examples from leading houses

Personal favourite NV

This is perfect fizz for those who like it big, bold and biscuity. A rich, creamy champagne similar in style to Veuve, Bollinger etc
