The domaine is certified 'agriculture raisonnée', thus eschewing the use of chemical fertilisers in favour of their own organic compost and growing grass cover throughout the vineyards. This is indicative of the level of care and attention that the Teisserenc family give their winemaking enterprises, and it shows in the quality of the wine.
Tasting Notes : The nose is rich and fruity with lots of red berry and cherry aromas. The palate is ripe and rounded, with weighty plum and boysenberry flavours plus supple tannins to finish.
Producer : Domaine l'Arjolle
Method of Production : The estate's grapes are grown using the principles of lutte raisonnée. After being picked, the grapes were destemmed, crushed and cold macerated for five days prior to being fermented for a week in concrete vats at 25°C. Having undergone malolactic conversion, the wines were racked, blended, and matured in vat again for six months. The wine was simply filtered before being bottled.
