Off the Leash 'Finn' White

Predominantly Chardonnay with the balance made up of Semillon (the classic Aussie combo) plus Pinot Gris and Viognier (the trendy grapes of the moment). All of which have been steered clear of any woody oak influence. The result is a delightfully crisp and aromatic white that is far lighter and refreshing than your run of the mill New World Chardy.

Tasting Notes : The nose has aromas of crushed brown sugar and limes. On the palate there are flavours of rich stone fruits, pear and citrus with a dry, crisp finish.

Method of Production : The estate-grown grapes were destemmed, crushed and the juice cold settled prior to being fermented in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic conversion was not encouraged, but the wine was kept on lees, still in tank, with weekly pumping over, for six months. The wine was fined, filtered and bottled.
