The Oddbins Take

Quinta das Setencostas is the big brother of our astronomically popular Quinta de Bons Ventos and bears a keen family resemblance, but is smoother, richer and a little less stout. Remember that Harry Enfield sketch, where a Brummy couple announce to their friends that they are “considerably richer than yow”? This is a bit like that, but in this case both parties have class and substance.

Rose Murray-Brown in The Scotsman, "Made by Casas Santos Lima, who also make the popular Quinta Bons Ventos. A good example of a spicy full bodied structured blend, this is weightier, brusque and firmer in tannins than many of our other picks, but would suit those who usually drink big solid chunky reds like Malbec."
Made by Casa Santos Lima, who also produce the popular Quinta Bons Ventos, this is a unique blend, made with grapes such as Tinta Miuda and Presto Martinho, which are grown in Portugal on a very small scale. Some were almost disappeared out of the blend, like Preto Martinho, but the winemakers decided to keep it and it contributes complexity of the wine. It underwent oak ageing for between from four and six months.
