Rapaura Springs aims to leave a natural legacy for future generations by enhancing their surrounding environment through sustainable vineyard and winemaking practices. The estate is managed carefully under the strict Sustainable Wine Growing New Zealand standards and they employ a philosophy of minimal intervention across the entirety of their winemaking processes.

The namesake spring that is depicted on the label, provides the vines with crystal clear, pure water whilst also guiding the family-wineries philosophy. At a point where the Wairau River meets earth, after a six-month journey through a rocky aquifer, the water forms a spring which then weaves its way through the main vineyard.

Growing and sourcing their grapes from across Marlborough’s sub-regions, Rapaura let the land, climate and water of New Zealand do all the hard work before handcrafting their fantastic wines. Taking a step back and leaving the vineyards to tell their own stories, with a slight nudge in the right direction from their experienced teams, allows opportunities to capture and deliver all of the marvellous flavours Marlborough has on offer. The result? A series of exceptional wines with distinct flavours that reflect the different and iconic regions they come from.

Rapaura Springs Sauvignon Blanc is made with grapes sourced from the various Marlborough sub-regions. Gentle pressing of the fruit, before fermenting the juice at cool temperatures, allowing the wine to capture the expressive fruit flavours of the differing vineyards.

Ping grapefruit, white nectarine and passionfruit sit on the nose in combination with lifted herbal and zesty citrus notes. Fruit driven, the palate offers several layers of sumptuous citrus and tropical fruit flavours. These flavours are combines with an underlying flinty-ness and crisp acidity which deliver the long and refreshing finish.
