    Teeling is an independent Irish whiskey company dedicated to bringing choice and breadth back to the Irish whiskey category through small batch releases of interesting and flavoursome bottlings.

    The Single Grain was awarded World's Best Grain at the World Whiskies Awards, 2014, and is one of only a handful of Single Grain Bottlings in the world. It is fully matured in Californian red wine barrels resulting in an intensely fruity and beautifully amber liquid.

    The nose has spice and fruit notes, while the palate lush red berries and grapes, with drying tannin effect at the end. The finish is dry, and dominated by wood and spice.

    This whisky takes its name from the hand tool used to cut peat from less wet, shallower bogs. This means the peat it reveals is drier and therefore more easily burnt producing a whisky that has a medium-heavy smokiness. Pale yellow in appearance, the nose has an initially thick and oily smoke structure, reveals a sharper, more medicinal phenolic layer, a piercing burst of fruitiness and an intense finish. The nose is intense and unforgettable. On the palate, leather and spicy vanilla abound, together with notes of pink grapefruit and ripe orchard fruits. A kaleidoscope of spicy and peaty notes culminate with a juicy burst and call for another sip.
