Talisker is the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye, set on the shores of Loch Harport in the village of Carbost, on the beautiful Minginish Peninsula, with dramatic views of Black Cuillin mountain. Made in traditional copper pot stills and worm tubs, this is an intense expression of the classic Talisker, at a stronger 57.8% alcohol. It has a smoky hot attack which, cut with a little water, opens to reveal a sweet-centred smoothness. It won top prize in its category at the World Whisky Awards 2010.
You remember that advert with Anthony Hopkins, where he talk about all the ‘big’ things in his life? Well, we’re surprised he wasn’t sipping on a glass of Talisker 57’ North, because this whisky is BIG. Alter Ego: Anthony Hopkins; a steely-eyed Celtic charmer, brimming over with energy. A deceptively smooth delivery can’t disguise the smoky, husky exciting character lurking beneath. A Big Whisky for the Big Boys.
