The Oddbins Take

They Say

Arran only use the traditional methods of distilling, with wooden washbacks and copper stills. They don’t use peat in the production process or caramel for artificial colouring and all their Single Malts are non-chillfiltered. Arran’s fresh and unique island style is captured beautifully in the 10 Year Old. On the nose, rich vanilla sweetness gives way to kiwi, banana and cantaloupe melon – with just a dusting of cocoa powder. On the palate, a touch of cinnamon adds a spicy edge to the soft and sweet texture. The classic Arran citrus notes have rounded with age and reveal new depths of character against a background of sweet oak.

We Say

Nestled in the Firth of Clyde, sandwiched between Campbeltown and mainland Scotland, Arran is the perfect place to produce gentle, lovingly-made Single Malts like this. Alter Ego: Olivia Coleman; set apart from the mainstream (land) that it forms its own character and fully inhabits the role with assured, sweet charm and a fruity honesty that beguiles fans nationwide.
