Balblair

The Balblair distillery was originally founded in 1790 yet it did shut down production in 1911 and didn’t reopen till after the Second World War, when Churchill decided he quite liked whisky and multiple distilleries reopened to fill his demand (just kidding, he set out am edict that whisky needed to be made and sold to the US, revitalising the industry). Balblair remained fairly unknown, until 2007. At which time, the whisky was repackaged in attractive rounded bottles and charming display cases. Most significantly, Balblair started bottling vintage whisky and people decided they were well into that, now Balblair are one of the fastest growing distilleries, up there in those Highlands.
