American Whiskey

America is one of the worlds largest producers of whisky and is made up of numerous different types. The most well known are Bourbon, Tennessee and Blended whisky's. Whisky is known to have been introduced to America in the 1700's by the population emigrating there from Scotland and Ireland.

Due to the different climate and soil conditions, American's use different raw materials to produce their whiskies and therefore offers little similarity to that of Scottish and Irish whisky's.

Uncle Sam's Best Bourbon's..

  • Maker's Mark - Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This Kentucky Bourbon uses red winter wheat, grown in limestone soil, to achieve their characteristic mellow taste. Not only that but they char the barrels to help caramelise the natural wood sugars, thus creating a bourbon which is well rounded and filled with notes of butterscotch and oak spice. Each bottle of Maker's Mark is hand-dipped into their signature red wax, adding extra distinction to this lovely Bourbon.
