Graves - Bordeaux, France
Graves is a wine district within France's Bordeaux region, and gains its names from the gravel soils used in the production of its wine. Graves is seen as the birthplace of Bordeaux's high-quality red wines.
Rare among Bordeaux's many sub regions, Graves is well respected for its production of both red and white wines. Typically wines are made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The district's most notables wine is the Premier Grand Cru which is uniquely available in both red and white wine.
