Right Bank

The Right Bank of the Bordeaux region, while not as famous or versatile as its opposite number, it is still responsible for two important appellations that lie within it; St-Emilion and Pomerol. At their peak, the right banks Merlot-based vines can exceed the levels of Left Bank varieties in quality and price. Typically wines produced in the Right Bank are a lighter more smoother variety of red wine.
