Rosé Wine Selection

Welcome to Oddbins Rosé Wine Shop. This is the place to be for anyone who thinks pink when it comes to wine. Our rose wines come in an array of styles from the dry pale Provence to a super thirst-quenching dark Spanish Rosé. If dry’s not your style, we also have sweeter wines from the Anjou, and other classic French regions, such as Bordeaux, Rhone and Loire. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, check out the Sun packed summer fruit delights from Australia.

To help narrow your search, you can use our 'Refine By' tools to either select a particular grape or filter our red wine selection by country, price and the wine's characteristics. If you still can't decide or would simply like some help, please give us a call or drop us an e-mail where one of the friendly souls at Oddbins will be more than happy to help.

Our Rosé wines can be delivered anywhere in the UK. In fact, like the rest of our online range, if you order before 2pm, your parcel of pink will be despatched the very same day.

Ah, summertime, when the living is easy, fish are jumping and it’s time for rose wine – or something along those lines. And of course, kicking back, shoes off, feet up, on the porch or a picnic blanket in the park is where pink wine comes into its own, but you know what? Why wait?

It’s great as an aperitif any time, or as an accompaniment to lightly spicy food. Or for turning a rainy Tuesday into a lazy, hazy summer Sunday…

    ***Silver at Decanter 2014***

It's one thing to keep passing a business down to your children, it's quite another to keep that line going for 700 years. Yet this is exactly what the wine-making Sumeire family, in Provence, has done.

Located at the foot of the magnificent Montagne Sainte-Victoire, which inspired artists like Cézanne, this historic winery has produced a classic Provencal rosé: feather-light and elegant, with fresh strawberry and cherry blossom notes.

In the world of Provencal rosés, as with Victorian make-up, the general rule is the paler the better. This doesn’t mean that they are wan wallflowers (as we imagine Victorian women) but, as with Cesar, they can be thrilling, vivacious, flavour-packed and racy wines.

With an elegant nose of jasmine and wild rose and an ample palate of cranberries and lemon peel, there isn’t a trace of sober Victoriana. Er, which isn’t to say you shouldn’t be sober at all times, officer.

Human lives are full of eureka moments. These run the gamut from the earth-shattering "the world is not flat" or "he/she is the one" kind to the smaller but no less revelatory discoveries of chipotle Tabasco or the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V commands on a keyboard.

This delicate looking wine lies somewhere in between, because it’s unequivocal proof that rosé can be incredibly serious stuff. It carries the poise, elegance and flawless complexion of Grace Kelly and then explodes with pink grapefruit, passion fruit, strawberry sorbet and lemon sherbet.

This wine is a serendipitous find for Oddbins and a lovely drop it is too. It is the sister wine to Château Guilhem Cuvée Prestige Rouge, which was suggested to us via The Listing (where you can recommend wines for us to stock that you have discovered on holiday). Where the Prestige Rouge is full-on and chocolatey, the rosé is a delicate flower, with aromas of rose hip, wild strawberries and white peaches. Made entirely organically, this is an all-natural discovery. Happy days.

At Oddbins Towers we call this The Pink Panther. It bears no resemblance to the sneaky cartoon character in the title sequence of the film and its winemaker is certainly not a bumbling fool like Inspector Jacques Clouseau.

No, we call this The Pink Panther because it’s a diamond, a precious and brilliant diamond with a delicate pink hue. In fact this rosé wine is so good and has proven so popular we’ve had to employ Cato to protect it in our warehouse. He’s just so unpredictable; half our staff are off with injuries.

A premium pale pink robe with eglantine highlights. On the nose are mourvèdre aromas and notes of citrus fruit, as well as very fresh touches of liquorice.

On the palate there is a fine balance between freshness and liveliness, with aromas of white fleshy fruits. It is typified by a sharp texture – fresh, silky and long-lasting.

This crisp, spicy rosé shares many traits with its nutty namesake detective, Colombo. They both have a decided twinkle in their eye and a deceptively lightness of touch that belies a lovely depth.

And, whilst we couldn’t rightly claim that they both smell of crunchy red cherries and delicate spice, we can definitely say that they both have a memorable finish that, just when you think it’s over, leans and intones ‘just one more thing’…

This wine is like an onion. OK it won’t make you cry, and it isn’t spherical (bear with us here), but… it has the pretty pink/golden colour of onion skin, layer upon layer of crisp, mildly spicy loveliness and is the cornerstone of many a successful meal.

Don’t try putting it on a wooden board and roughly chopping it à la Jamie Oliver, though; that would probably result in much pain, glass everywhere and will more than likely ruin most kitchen knives.

This wine is like a Provençal rosé that has been randomly transported to the hills of Rioja Alavesa, maybe by some freak whirlwind, like in The Wizard of Oz, into a foreign land. But, far from being an unwanted guest, the team at Bodegas Luis Alegre proudly declare “it has a beautiful, salmon-pink colour and enticing, subtle aromas of red fruits and wild flowers, as found in the best rosé from Provence”. We couldn’t have put it better ourselves.

It provides elegance and balance of the palate with a very nice tension, bringing its long fruity finish with an undertone salty character.

We don’t know about you, but we get mildly irritated when we see pretty-in-pink, butter wouldn’t melt in their mouth-type lasses. Part of us just thinks they should get some mud on their frocks and join the real world. But then we think, actually, vive la difference; there is a place for dainty little things as there is a place for everything.

In fact, we quite like some of them – such as this happy-go-lucky, fresh and peachy Pinot Grigio Blush from the rolling hills of Veneto. In fact, this wine makes us want to put on a tutu and go skipping around some hillsides ourselves.

What was it Muhammed Ali said? ‘Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee’? Well this doesn’t sting like a bee, rather it does a double somersault with a half twist up to you and, instead of knocking you out, lands a delicate kiss on your forehead. Lovely.

Hear the word 'tandem' and you'll think: two lovers (or maybe just good friends), pedalling together on a bicycle made for two. But in Spanish 'tandem' means “at last!” And while the winemaking team would love you to believe 'tandem' refers to the realisation (at last) of their dream to make such a chilled-out wine, it actually refers to the phrase often exclaimed at the end of the day when the bottle is finally lifted from the fridge.

Casual, ha! These rose-flower aromas, clipped flavours of forest berries, and hints of sun-kissed red cherry don't happen by accident. It's exhausting, making something this perfectly laid back! Of course, enjoying it is far easier...
