Western Cape

There’s been vines in the Western Cape for a fair while, that’s for sure. How long? Well, let’s put it this way, Napoleon used to drink a bottle of sweet wine from the Western Cape every day, while he was on Elba, he developed a bit of a complex about it. Mufasa as well, remember him from the 90s? He loved our ‘Dig This’ Chenin/Sauvignon, what that Scar did to him was unspeakable! Ah well, he got his comeuppance. The Western Cape is, however, known for a great deal more than Napoleon and poorly crafted Lion King references...

From bigger ‘Rhone style’ wines, to elegant Chenin Blancs, hailing from cooler parts of the region, they have become some of the most renowned wines in the world. Our premium caped crusaders have, in the past, set a lot of tongues to wagging and lips to smacking, wines such as the selection of ‘Lothian’ and those of ‘Radford Dale,’ represent some of the finest wine making in the region. Yet, recently our more affordable wines have been getting the column inches! Wines, such as the ‘Marvellous’ selection have proved that you can get exceptional quality form the Western Cape without breaking the bank!
