Inspired by traditional Scottish whisky, Torii envisioned a Japanese approach by choosing a terrain and climate completely different to those of Scotland to create a unique kind of whisky. Nestled proudly on the periphery of Kyoto, where three rivers – Katsura, Uji and Kizu – meet and create damp conditions ideal for ageing whisky in its precious casks. The Distiller’s Edition is a golden hue and the nose has strawberry, cherry and Mizunara oak flavours, with the palate going on to deliver raspberry, white peach and coconut, with vanilla and a hint of cinnamon on the finish.
