The Oddbins Take

If Riesling is the zippy athlete of Alsace, Pinot Gris is the gymnast. So supple, so beautifully rounded. Strong, yet expressively graceful. To perform at such levels takes years of dedication, not to mention being naturally biodynamic.

Sit back then, and let yourself be astonished at the physical magic of this wine. Let the peach-fruit flavours tumble on your taste-buds, roll refreshingly around your palate and turn aromatic cartwheels on your tongue. It will mesmerise you, before drawing its performance to a finish with perfectly exquisite poise.

Currently run by Olivier and Margaret Humbrecht, Domaine Zind Humbrecht was established in 1959 when the Humbrecht family vineyards, Gueberschwihr, and the Zind family vineyards, Wintzenheim, came together to produce wines. Before this, both family establishments produced and sold their own ranges of wines under their respective family names.

The nose expresses a multitude of aromas including peach, melon, thyme and ginger. These are reflected on the palate which is dry and velvety with a refreshing acidity.
