The Oddbins Take

It has perhaps never been more complicated to be a responsible consumer; buy some avocados because your nutritionist told you they were a healthy source of fat and you may inadvertently be funding a cartel!

Martinborough based winery Ata Rangi are a little more open about what their wine financially supports. The Ata Rangi Crimson Pinot Noir is named for Project Crimson a charitable conservation trust focused on saving two red-flowering native trees, sponsored by Ata Rangi. Far from funding a despot or criminal conglomerate, purchasing this distinct New Zealand Pinot Noir with an enticing palate of mulberry and bramble fruit complimented by spiced notes and a smooth texture will only lead to more trees and, as complicated as the world is right now, we’re pretty sure that’s a good thing!
