The Oddbins Take

Origin story time! Like a good super hero film, we all know the caped crusader that is Neck Oil but how did it become the beer that protects us all from the wearisome and the watery?

Beavertown was founded by Logan Plant, son of Led Zeppelin front man Robert Plant. Neck Oil is named after a maxim of the legendary rocker. Apparently, Mr Plant used to describe beer as ‘Neck Oil,’ to keep his throat from drying out during a set … imagine what he would’ve sounded like if he had this delicious session IPA to hand.

About The Brewery

Founded in 2011 by Logan Plant in the basement of a pub the brewery has grown up and become one of the flagship London breweries around. Taking its name from the old cockney name for the Victorian part of London De Beauvoir they quickly out grew the basement of Dukes Brew and Que relocated to Hackney Wick. After a short time there they realised they needed to grow again and made a final move over to Tottenham Hale in North London. There they have perfected brews such as Gamma Ray and gained a loyal fan base for their modern and forward thinking beers.

BBQ Essentials - White Wine and Craft Beer Case

    £42.30

We couldn't decide whether white wine or beer is the best pairing for a sunny day, so we decided to go with both!

You can't have sun without Sauvignon Blanc, so we've included 2 of our most popular, tangy Marlborough Sauvignon's for a fruit sensation. For a spot of refreshment, the Rolling Hills cool-climate chardonnay breezes in with light stone fruit flavours and our all new Vermentino from Borgo dei Trulli brings light herb notes and minerality into the mix. But just in case you're more inclined to enjoy a cool beer, we've thrown in two options of light, crisp session IPA's from Beavertown and the Lost & Found brewery for enjoying by the BBQ.
