Beavertown Peacher Man Case of 12

The Oddbins Take

Dusty Springfield once serenaded us with the lyrics, “the only one who could ever reach me, was the son of a peacher man.” Leaving quite a bit of confusion about what exactly a peacher man is. Was it a man who taught of his lord and saviour, a giant, ever-ripe peach? Perhaps, the Peacher Man was the working title for Roald Dahl book later named James & the Giant Peach. Nope, it turns out Springfield wrote this as a prophecy. Confident in the belief that one day a beer would rise above the rest, with a rich full-bodied wheat palate and a distinct flavour profile of citrus peel, apricot, light spice and peach yoghurt. Good on ya’ Dusty, you are a legend and a soothsayer!

Founded in 2011 by Logan Plant in the basement of a pub, Beavertown Brewery has grown up and become one of the flagship London breweries around. Taking its name from the old cockney name for the Victorian part of London De Beauvoir they quickly out grew the basement of Dukes Brew and Que relocated to Hackney Wick. After a short time there they realised they needed to grow again and made a final move over to Tottenham Hale in North London. There they have perfected brews such as Gamma Ray and gained a loyal fan base for their modern and forward thinking beers.
