The Oddbins Take

It's fair to say the French are passionate about their produce, so assured their wine is the best in the world that it’s said when American wines won out in the 1976 Judgement of Paris, the French judges asserted that Cambridge Analytica must have corrupted the vote.

Thus, it is quite an endorsement of the terroir of Mendoza, that the history of this winery is rooted in a holiday in 1990 for third-generation French winemaker Jean Bousquet. So struck by the capacity for high-quality organic winemaking, Jean moved his family to Mendoza and opened Domaine Bousquet in this quiet corner of Argentina.

This intense and complex Malbec, rich with flavours of dark berries and figs is proof Jean Bousquet’s assertion Argentina’s terroir could compete with France’s, was a good one.
