Whilst previous retail experience isn’t essential, it is important that you have a passion for selling combined with an interest in wine and a willingness to learn. We do not expect our new recruits to have extensive wine knowledge when they join however it is important that you have a real interest in the product and are keen to learn about it. We have a number of experienced and knowledgeable staff that you will have the opportunity to work alongside and we offer the opportunity to study for WSET qualifications.

E-Commerce Assistant - Walsall, Midlands

Could you be the go to E-Commerce assistant for this quirky and much loved brand?
Here at Oddbins we are building a diverse and dynamic team that is set for amazing growth and development. We are looking for someone who is extremely self-motivated, highly organised and willing to go above and beyond.
The perfect candidate will ideally have had daily experience working with a transactional website, extra points if it was on a Magento platform and from a retail B2C background.

Day to day responsibilities
  • Contributing to delivering the overall E-Commerce strategy.
  • Help with day-to-day management and maintenance of the transactional website.
  • Offer amazing customer service, turning any negative experiences to positive ones
  • Uploading and updating content and imagery across the site.
  • Contribute to Social Media marketing.
  • updating of customer database.
  • maintaining internal E-Commerce process documentation

  • Qualities and skills that could land you this job;
  • Excellent telephone manner, written and verbal skills.
  • Responsible, self-motivated, organised, attention to detail.
  • Interest and understanding of digital technology, social media and online retailing.
  • Experience in using a CMS for the day to day trade of a website.
  • Any Knowledge of wines or the wine market would be a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of Magento, Excel, and any Adobe CC products be a bonus.

  • This role will be suited to a candidate that is in easy commutable distance of Walsall, West Midlands.
