Rhonéa Ventoux Passe Colline Rosé 2020

The Rhonéa Ventoux Rosé is perfect for a bright summer sipper. This wine flaunts a delicate salmon pale colour and boasts aromas of pink grapefruit, strawberry and sweet herbs. Colline was a discerning woman, she'd tut when served caviar with anything other than a bone spoon, she would often send back her medium-medium rare New York Strip with complaints it was overdone or that "the kiss of life could revive that cow." However, this was rarely a problem for Colline's friends, they'd make apologetic eyes at waiters, but their lives were rarely affected by her exceptional palate.

That is, apart from when trying to find a rosé for Colline. Every wine was too dry or too sweet, too dark or too ‘this is just Chardonnay you put food colouring in!’ It seemed that every lazy summer afternoon was ruined by Colline’s admonishment of the quality of the wine. Eventually, her friends approached legendary Rhône producer Rhonéa, asking if they had a rosé that could satisfy their friend. The wine they received was lively and beautifully balanced and wonderfully quaffable with buckets of flavour and refreshing acidity. Colline was so charmed with the wine, that she now holds onto the bottle a bit longer than is perhaps socially acceptable, in fact her friends often find themselves saying “pass the rosé Colline!”
