The Oddbins Take

Some of the greatest unions begin with a marriage, Marie and Pierre Curie’s relationship led to some of the most significant steps forward in the fields of physics and chemistry and only ended in some radiation poisoning. The wedding of Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo facilitated a union of the Dothraki and the exiled Westerosi, while also prompting irritating couples to start calling each other ‘moon of my life.’

The greatest union however came in 1811 when Pierre-Nicolas Perrier married Adèle Jouët, thus creating the Champagne House Perrier-Jouët. We love their Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut which has notes of cherry plum, lemon and bergamot orange emerge first, then making way for the flowers of fruit trees, such as lime and honeysuckle. The mouthfeel is smooth yet textual with a wonderful buttery, toasty finish. You could say it is our sun and stars!
