Aligoté, in case you're wondering, is the lesser known and more rarefied white variety of Burgundy making this something of an eye-opener to those well-acquainted to the usual Chardonnay. This, as you might expect, is a leaner, cleaner style of Burgundy with striking fresh crispness. A must-try for all interested in this important French region.
To preserve and emphasise the fresh, fruity and floral characteristics of the Aligoté grape, the wine is fermented and stored in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.
